Category Reference¶
Every category name the voice engines can request. These names are the contract between SLO VE and your pack: a pack supplies a folder per category, and the engine asks for them by name.
The authoritative lists live in SLOVE_VoiceCategories.psc (AllFemaleCategories, AllMaleCategories) and are what SLOVE_Test.AuditVoicePack checks against.
Names are normalised
NearOrgasmNoises, Near Orgasm Noises and near orgasm noises are the same key. The On-disk folder column below shows the conventional Hentairim/IVDT spelling; any spacing or casing works.
How to read the tables¶
- On-disk folder — what a pack should name the folder. Where an alias redirects the category to a differently named folder, that folder is shown in bold.
- If missing → — the category fallback SLO VE's preset applies when the slot has no folder for this category. Blank means no fallback: if the slot (and its
fallbackslot) can't resolve it, the line doesn't play.
A pack does not need to supply every category. Whatever it lacks resolves through the fallback layer, and then through the slot's fallback slot — for F1/F2/F3 that is SexLab's stock moans, so coverage is always complete.

BlowjobActionSoft / BlowjobActionIntense / Licking / LickingIntense / LickingForced / Rimjob / RimjobIntense / RimjobForced are oral SFX, not vocalisation — they are in [lipsync] block_categories, so they never move the mouth. LickingComments / RimjobComments are spoken lines between licks, so they do lipsync.
The Licking* pools
Played while the actor performs cunnilingus (the CUN oral label), mirroring the blowjob split: Licking (soft action), LickingIntense (intense stages), LickingComments (spoken remarks, same chance knob as blowjob comments), LickingForced (forced scene or the licker is the victim). The folder names are the same in both pack layouts (A or B). A pack missing a folder degrades in-pack first — an alias tries the closest folder the pack already has (shown first in If missing →), then the fallback tries the A/stock analog — so installs without the folders sound exactly as before these categories existed.
The Rimjob* pools
Played while the actor performs a rimjob. There is no collision signal for a rim lick (the P+ detector geometry knows crotches, not anuses), so the trigger is authored data: an explicit per-actor RIM oral code, or a scene tagged rimjob / rimming / anilingus (Billyy's sets tag rimjob) while the licker carries a mouth-busy oral label (CUN, or the converted DB's KIS stand-in). Same forced/comments/intense/soft split as Licking*; missing folders degrade to the pack's Licking* pools first, then the A/stock analogs.

Aliases run after an exact folder match
A pack that does ship a Struggling Overt folder uses it; only packs without one hit the alias. Same for the other aliased names.
Male-only scenes — [male_only_remap]¶
In a male-only scene the female voice engine keeps running, but its categories have to resolve against a male pack. Each female category is substituted with the closest male one. This layer applies to male slots only.

The Papyrus layer (SLOVE_VoiceCategories.MaleOnlyRemap) does the same mapping ahead of time; the TOML table is the runtime safety net behind it, and the one you can edit.
Variation-B packs¶
Everything above describes the Variation-A layout: the collapsed, camelCase-derived folder names the engine requests by default (ForeplaySoft, NearOrgasmExclamations, Orgasm, …). A pack opts into the Variation-B taxonomy by setting variation = "B" on its [[slot]] in the pack's own AudioUtil overlay (SLOVE_zpack_<name>.toml); an A pack simply omits that line. A B pack ships a larger, more finely-partitioned set of space-separated folders instead, and the engine automatically swaps to the B folder name when the speaking actor's slot is Variation B and the pack actually ships that folder (otherwise the line falls through to the A name / fallback chain).
Gotcha: the console
voiceline prints the internal label, which is not always the folder. The clearest example isFemaleOrgasm— that is an internal label used to drive the orgasm face; the folder it plays from isOrgasm(A) or aMale Orgasmed …/Ending …folder (B). The debug line now also prints the resolved folder in parentheses (… (folder Orgasm)) so you can see the real folder.
The 64 B folder names below are the exact on-disk folder names (the authoritative source is SLOVE_VoiceCategories.AllFemaleVariationBCategories()). A clean B pack drops any A names it doesn't use to the fallback chain, so audit a B slot with the slot id (below) — the B pass is automatic.

The _TEMPLATE Voicepack (Variation-B by default) in the SLOVE Packs set ships this full folder tree empty, ready to fill.
Auditing a pack¶
Pass the slot id (F1, M1, C1 …) — not the voice-pack folder name. Auditing a pack name (e.g. Aika) is the #1 confusion: the audit keys the female/male list off the slot id's first letter (F… → female, M…/C… → male/creature), so a pack name silently checked the 15 male names against a female pack and always reported 0/15. That argument is now rejected with a hint instead.
It prints every category that does not resolve, then a summary like SLOVE audit F1: 79/79 categories resolve. A Variation-B slot gets a second pass over the B folders above. Resolution is checked after aliases, fallbacks and the slot's fallback chain — so 79/79 on a small pack means the backfill is working, not that the pack has 79 folders (the in-pack vs backfilled counts in the summary tell them apart).
